Maria Zouroudis
I discovered this amazing singer named Maria Zouroudis a few years ago randomly on YouTube and can't get enough of her beautiful voice. Ryan actually gets quite annoyed because I often will listen to her songs on repeat and never get sick of listen to her. Here are a couple of her many amazing remakes of some popular songs. I really dont understand how she hasn't made it mainstream yet! If only I had her voice...

Frumpy to Fabulous
Is it just me or are you finding it difficult to find work clothes that arent too stuffy or boring?! After working the last 3 years for a company that had a casual dress code I am just not recognizing that finding professional work clothes is quite tough. I'm normally a huge fan of bargain shopping but this is a situation where you really do get what you pay for and it's worth splurging for a couple quality pieces that you can mix and match to make some rich looks. Suprise, suprise I found that my favorite clothes were at JCrew and Anthropologie because not only are the outfits classic but they have some edge to them which will make you feel both sophisticated and femine. Take a look at a couple of my favorite looks!

My Future!
When I get alittle older and have more money my dream is to own my own paperie boutique. I would love a cute home office and to own a paper boutique in town. Below are some pictures of what I would like my store and home office to look like! BEAUTIFUL...if only I had the money now. Sitting area for invitation consultations:)
Friday
Cheers to Cheeries!
I have been a bit obsessed with cherries lately! They are absolutely delicious and I saw this tilipia recipe with cherry salsa which looked yummy! The perfect combination of sweet and savory and the cherry on top (ha) is that it's a super healthy guilt-free dish! enjoy
For the salsa
2 cups sweet cherries, pitted and coarsely chopped
1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 jalapeño, seeds removed, minced
1 tablespoon fresh lime juicesalt and fresh ground black pepper
For the tilapia
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
4 tilapia fillets (about 4 to 6 ounces each)
1 tablespoon olive oil
Preheat grill with grates that have been lightly oiled.
To prepare the salsa
In a medium bowl, toss together cherries, onion, cilantro, jalapeño and lime juice. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
To prepare the tilapia
In a small bowl, whisk together salt, pepper and coriander. Drizzle the oil over the fillets and rub to coat. Sprinkle each piece with the spice mixture. Place fillets on the grill and cook until fish is opaque throughout, carefully flipping each piece halfway through, about 2 minutes per side. Serve fish topped with salsa.
Makes 4 servings.

I'm all about having fun with your fashion but there is nothing more classic than neutral colors and I think no matter what skin color you have neutrals are very flattering. The popular fashion trends for summer 2010 are bright bold colors and patterns but neutrals were also featured just as much as the shocking colors in the summer 2010 fashion shows. When your wearing neutrals it's fun to wear minimal makeup for an all natural look or your can have fun with it and do a bold lip or eye. Take a look to get some fashion inspiration for your summer wardrobe:)
Sunday
Being non-judgemental is something that I sincerely value in others and have been striving to improve upon personally. I don't consider myself to be judgemental, but I know that I am guilty of it at times and believe it is something that I can continually work to reduce in my life. It takes a mature individual and strong sense of self to be able to accept others fully without questioning one's motives or gossiping about information that is not a known fact.
As I grow older I am reminded of the importance of loving someone with your full heart and instead of judging others or thinking you always have the right way of accomplishing tasks or thinking of topics to be more open-minded. Being open-minded when I didn't exactly agree with an initial idea has led me to alot of great personal insight and has made me recognize that people'e experiences and ideas are full of passion, love and opportunities to educate myself and to look at the whole picture rather than being narrow minded.Let us all work to love one another and before we cast judgement on others, learn to accept them as the person that they are and the experiences that they have been given.
“If you judge people, you have no time to love them.”

Greyson Chance
Amazing! Greyson Chance is definetly the most talented kid I've ever seen. He writes and composes all of his songs...songs about cancer, broken hearts Im not so sure how a 12 year old writes about all these topics but the songs are beautiful. He just receieved a recording contract and I am confident he will be the new Justin Beiber. Must have found a cure for that Beiber fever:)
